Based in Paris, Europe 1 is probably the most famous radio station in France. This prestigious office recently underwent an interior facelift.
To meet the challenge of having to remain fully operational during the installation period, renowned designer Alain Marcot, know he could rely on Amtico. He specified Amtioc’s Teak and Light Cherry for the area totalling almost 1,000 sq metres.
A further test was the requirement for raised access, which we were also able to accommodate. We created a beautiful floor, which allowed an open plan design. Amtico is increasingly becoming the choice for commercial areas where under floor cabling and other systems have to be incorporated into the design. And this can be achieved whilst maintaining great aesthetics, the Europe 1 office demonstrates that with Amtico there doesn’t have to be a compromise.
Through specifying the two products in a plank format, Marcot has used colour to help distinguish between work areas and thoroughfares. Completely without physical barriers, this creates a sense of space and order to what is a large and highly populated work area.
Europe 1 is a great example of applying raised access flooring to create a functional open plan whilst remaining flexible and stylish.
