Sir Alex Ferguson’s entertainment suite at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s world famous football stadium, has been transformed with the help of Amtico floors.
Design and communications agency Jam has created a luxurious and stylish lounge that the high-profile club manager will use pre- and postmatch to chill out and entertain personal guests.
The redesign reinforces the brand presence of the club’s official car supplier, Audi. The car maker’s core brand value ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ or ‘intelligent technology’ has been brought to life through the clever use of the four Audi rings in elements such as the floor, wallpaper and art.
Amtico Wenge Wood, with a richly toned dark black/brown texture, adds life and atmosphere and is an important factor in achieving the overall look of the room. Amtico created a subtle design for the floor incorporating Audi’s distinctive branding.
“This was a prestigious project to take on and it was important to get a feeling of quality across in this small space. There wasn’t the budget for real wood so Amtico provided the perfect alternative as it was cost effective and durable” according to David Bruno, designer at JAM.
“The biggest challenge for us was the Audi motif in the floor, which required real craftsmanship. Amtico’s expertise in this area meant that they could provide us with the best solution” he says.
